Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shankar is a British-American sitar player and music artist. She was first of her generation to be awarded the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka Shankar is among India's rising stars in the sitar. She is the daughter and student of Ravi Shankar. She was born 1982 in London. Her early years were split between London in London and New Delhi. In New Delhi, she made her first appearance at only 13 years of age. When she moved to Encinitas CA in 1999 she received a high-school diploma. Anouskha is yet to be a mature woman nevertheless, she has an impressive career in singing and recording. She is often seen performing alongside her father and has done so for quite a number of years. She released her first single album Anourag in the year 1998. In 2002, she debuted her Grammy Nominated Live At Carnegie Hall. Because she has performed on every major stage in across the globe, she's stage career is extensive. Anoushka's career does not only include musical performances. Bapi the Love of My Live, a biography of a picture that was written in tribute to her father Ravi Shankar was published in 2002. She also acted on the film "Dance Like a Man" in 2003. The role she played was that of as a Bharat Natyam dancer in Dance Like a Man. Anoushka Shakar's career as a professional will only continue to grow and expand. We can look at seeing lots of different things that she does. Following her move to California she completed her high school. at the age of nine She began studying music alongside her father. Her first performance with the Sitar was in her 75th birthday celebration in Delhi just four years later. Anoushka gained a lot of experience touring the world with the father. She played at Carnegie Hall in her teenage period, as well as recorded for George Harrison's WOMAD Festival. Her artistry and musicianship have been recognized by British parliament as the best at Asian Arts.
