Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She is credited for starting contemporary research on children's memories of eyewitnesses, as well as using child victims within court settings. Professor Goodman is a prolific author who has received numerous awards and grants. She has worked with many government agencies and institutions all over the world to conduct studies and policy issues pertaining to children who are victims of the legal system. She has been a consultant with the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of various professional associations, which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She is also a founder part of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development, as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the President of the American Psychological Association's three divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
